71% of Internet Traffic are API Calls, You Can’t Afford Not To Automate and Shift-Left Your API Testing

A recent report on the State of API Security in 2024 found that 71% of all Internet traffic was API calls. Other studies have found similar numbers. With APl security breaches the fastest-growing cyber attack vector, the result is a scary scale of threat.

Organizations can defend themselves by automating API Security testing, thereby moving  API Security earlier in the development process. But you cannot throw yet another task on the developer’s and testers’ plates. Security professionals have to be involved in the process as well.
